so after the medicine mcq and meq paper which didn't go too well (okay honestly when i went back to look at the paper it isn't that hard but i swear when you're stressed you don't see the big picture + you put stupid answers tt you normally wouldn't choose), i was pretty much stressed for the OSCEs and shorts.
honestly, i already mentally prepared myself that if i were to screw up, it would be my own damn fault for not studying hard enough/practicing in the wards enough for the past 3 years:/ i can't do paeds nor adults neuro for nuts. for one i have NEVER done a paeds neuro exam. adult neuro i barely did a few and even then, i never ever get the diagnosis-.- i can elicit the signs, but i can't piece them together to form a clinical picture:( and i cannot recognise many gaits unless it's super damn obvious or if it's parkinson's or dmd or sth unique/easy.
i also suck at haem and haem onco:/ i can do thal and hemophilia but anything like ALL CML and all that ET and PCV, my knowledge is damn shitty, evidenced by how i got like 90% of the haem onco questions in the MCQ wrong:(
and my last weakness is acid base disorders, all the mixed resp/met things. on good days i get it, on bad days i'm blur as hell.
so anyway, today, i was praying very hard that i wouldn't get difficult cases/strict examiners. and guess what? I must say Thank you God, for answering my prayers and giving me not only relatively easy cases, but also very very kind examiners for my medicine shorts. hearing some of the horrendous cases that some of my friends got and how i would have just died so badly for them:/ im really utterly thankful for what i got.
Tmr is long case and i'm pretty tired already:( back to studying..

my secret to good skin
my skin's looking really pretty and radiant now with just a few imperfections despite me being super ass damn stressed for mbbs:/ having insomnia and have been sleeping past 3am nearly the whole of last week (okay i wake up at 11 so maybe it doesn't count cos i still get about 8 hours of sleep) but anw here's my secret to getting nice skin!
preferably everyday:
1) drink a glass of honey (i like new zealand clover honey) with freshly squeezed lemon
2) drink Redoxon Vitamin C with zinc
if you can, try to brew chrysanthemum tea with ren shen xu in it (all can be bought from chinese medicine shops in shopping malls)
brew a big pot and then drink it over several days.
if you can and don't mind, it's best drunk without adding sugar. i hate anything tasteless/bitter so my mum adds rock sugar.
vitamin supplements are really important-i take grapeseed antioxidant, evening primrose oil, women's multivitamin, omega3-DHA fish oil capsules and sometimes marine collagen pills. Grapeseed antioxidant is the most important-it helps to prevent premature ageing. I tried chewing real seeds from grapes, but they're honestly too bitter:/
try to put a liquid mask everyday(more convenient)
use a facial sheet mask every 2-3 days.
always double cleanse your face whether you wear makeup or not. i triple cleanse- i use Fancl's mild cleansing oil, massage thoroughly and rinse off, then Ginvera's Marvel gel (they say 30 rubs but if you can, spend a whole minute rubbing your face gently), finally i use a mild cleanser (currently using Lush's Herbalism-claims to calm sensitive skin and help troubled spots/grease)
Have a complete skincare regime and never be lazy.
cleanse-tone-ampoule/serum-moisturizer/emulsion-eye cream
i like estee lauder's advanced night repair (the concentrate gives faster results) and estee lauder's idealist even skintone illuminator.
using toner and emulsion from Skinfood's Gold Kiwi range now and genifique's youth pearl eye thing.
okay that's all. try it and see if it works!
