Got sick of seeing all the blackheads and little bumps on my face so i decided it needed some purifying/deep cleansing.
Everyone knows clay helps to draw out the impurities from your face so i decided to give this a shot.
Bought it in Madrid for 30euros at a pharmacy (which works out to be about SGD48) which i believe is cheaper than sg.
Box
Comes in a pretty heavy porcelain(?) jar.
Powder inside.
You're supposed to take a teaspoon of powder, add an equal amount of water, and mix to form a paste.
Before that, Dr Hauschka suggests using a facial steam bath to open the pores and prep the skin for this. I didn't purchase that. For the same effect, you could take a large surface-area bowel, fill it with very warm water and breathe into it for a few minutes. Alternatively, i think it's smarter to just close the bathroom door and take a nice long warm shower/soak in the tub.
That's what i do anyway-it really helps to open the pores,
Apply the paste on. It looks like mud actually. Wait for about 10 minutes or till it hardens. You can choose to re-wet it and wait for it to dry again. Then rinse it off.
This is alittle messy. Kinda troublesome that you have to mix the clay yourself (i'm pretty lazy). and it gets the sink kinda messy and you gotta rinse the sink well of the sediments.
Cleansing/purifying effect: Not bad i guess, but didn't exactly wow me. I think i prefer other Dr Hauschka products. First tried them about 4 years back at a facial at Cluny Court, went to Germany that same year and bought the products at less than 1/2 the price in sg (my cover stick was 11 euros vs 50sgd at tangs). for the price i paid, i kinda expected more. don't think i will repurchase this. It's not very convenient to bring on travel trips as well cos the jar is so heavy.
