Pasta Brava

Dinner at Pasta Brava.
Always packed cos they serve good quality food at affordable prices(:
Be sure to make reservations at least 2-3days in advance! If you call on the day itself, you're unlikely to get space for dinner:/

salads and soups

Pasta selection

Pasta and Risotto dishes

Meat dishes(:

Look at daddy-he looks so... haha.

looking at the dessert menu while waiting for our food to come..

Affetato Misto
Cheese and Ham platter

Mummy's squid ink risotto

Bro's lobster pasta

Daddy's dish-beef and pasta, he says it's really yummy..

But I think mine's the best. Filleto Di Manzo in Gorgonzola sauce. Super tender medium rare beef tenderloin served with rich gorgonzola sauce, I think only people who really love cheese can eat this

Apple Pie with ice cream for me

Panna Cotta for bro

And chocolate lava cake for dad

The dishes here are all soo nice! Haven't had anything that is bad yet lol. My family and I love this place and we've been here quite a few times(: one more to add to my list of awesome italian restaurants<3

Tea at Fullerton, The Courtyard

So after cycling like 22km one day from Changi Beach Park to East Coast Park, we decided to pamper ourselves with an afternoon tea(:
We were slightly delayed though, overestimated our cycling speed haha. Thankfully tea is served till 630pm so we still managed to eat a fair bit (reached at 5pm:/)

The Courtyard Tea menu

Afternoon Tea

Choice of teas available

table deco

warm fluffy scones

with jam and cream

Lemon tea for me and truffle mint tea for the boy(:

our food!

top and bottom: sweets
middle row: savoury

Smoked salmon with caviar

parma ham with cheese

otah with quail egg

not sure what that is with brie cheese

some cake with raspberry on top.
don't really like this:/

smoked duck

oreo cheesecake

Tea here is refill-able and they will come around at intervals (or at your request) to replenish whatever you would like more of.
We refilled many times lol, mainly the savoury foods, especially the parma ham, duck and smoked salmon!
The sweets were okay, the best was the chocolate eclair and the chocolate tart.

Tea here and at the W hotel are both awesome, I prefer the desserts at the W hotel though, and I like the savoury choices here. At W, you get unlimited choices of tea but at Fullerton, it is limited to 2 choices:/ But at Fullerton food is refillable(: unlimited food is always good haha

drop-off at the Fullerton Hotel
Look at the gorgeous view

And here's me
pardon my choice of dress-I don't have much clothes at the boyf's place and I wanted to wear sth loose to eat more:D

http://www.drhauschka.com.sg/products.asp?mcatid=2&offset=30&pid=1320
FULL LIST OF PRODUCTS AND THEIR PRICES IN SGD

Interested parties kindly email me at samantha.taypx@gmail.com for my full price list.

FAQ:
1. It will take about 2weeks for the products to arrive.

2. Products are 100% authentic/new - I use them myself and have not experienced any problems
except that everything is written in German
but I have compared that to the SG product description etc and everything is the same!
You can use google translate for further reassurance

3. All emails will be replied within 24-48hours

4. Why I'm providing this service-so that we all benefit and get Dr Hauschka products at good cheap prices instead of wasting our $ buying from SG stores which are so much more expensive!

Family lunch at Ippudo Ramen at UE Square

Went for family lunch last Saturday at Ippudo at UE Square.
The tapas is like fusion food

More about how Ippudo started and about their noodles and soup

They were having a promotion on the tempura ebi! $10 for 5 tempura ebi prawns. The batter was done just right, and the dipping sauce was tasty

Classic Shiromaru Ramen that mum ordered

My and dad's Akamaru Ramen

Bro's Spicy special ramen.
Generous serving of pork on the side

Scallop starter

Sesame ice cream

Matcha ice cream wrapped in mochi

The noodles were okay, they didn't have the bouncy texture I was looking for that you get in usual ramen shops in Japan, and I still think Keisuke Ramen at Millenia Walk(which is now relocating) has the best ramen.
Broth was okay, relatively thick and tasty and rich.
Pork was cooked very nicely-tender and not dry.
The egg was acceptable but again not at its best.

Ordering the mochi thing was a bad idea, it tasted nothing like mochi. the description said soft and chewy but it was more like dry and hard and only a little chewy. Matcha and sesame ice cream tasted as usual..

I still prefer Keisuke over Ippudo. Keisuke totally beats Santouka and alot of the ramen places in Sg, it's the closest to those yummy ones in Japan!
